maybe i should start drawing bigger?
that would fill the book faster
but the food would be even colder.

  1. OK, I can’t help but ask the obvious question. Certainly these lovely drawings are not the entire list of foods you eat. Although the bananas have a tremendous amount of potassium, that about protein or veggies? HAHA. Seriously I have been enjoying your illustrations, the quality of line and values are sweet. To be totally honest I have not read your historic writings on this blog, I just began following it this past week. I never seem to fill up a sketch book/journal, usually when it’s 1/2- 3/4 full I misplace it. I begin a new one then I just continue even after I find the old one. So though your goal to fill a sketch book is admirable– surely you have another purpose?

  2. I wanted to draw regularly, from life. So I figured I could start drawing my food. Mostly the idea of filling a sketchbook is to have a definite end to my self imposed torture. OK maybe torture is a strong word, but I haven’t had any hot food for a week now.
